Black and white portrait photography is beautiful for it's apparent simplicity. However this portraits are a sample of some of the most challenging photography work I have done, because for me a portrait is not just a photo of a face. I want to capture real emotions and each photo is an acting exercise.

In the end I was very happy with the results and I think the portraied were happy to.

All the photos in this series were captured in black and white film and all prints were made by me in the darkroom.
